Italia Independent

Fashion and technology collide with the colorful and fun line named Italia Independent.

One of I-I most innovative products, the I-thermic fully expresses the innovation that I-I represents. I-thermic products change colour when exposed to temperatures exceeding 30°C. The process is gradual and can be repeated over and over again an infinity of times.I-thermic glasses are characterized by a special process that provides the deposition of an enzyme with coloured pigment that, once reached the temperature of 30°C, reacts becoming transparent and letting visible the colour or the texture on the base. Iconic shapes, whose success is consolidated. The thermic treatment will be also available in the Tailor Made Program.
I-Full Camouflage Collection is a special frames collection, with mirrored lenses with a particular camouflage print that is externally visible, but invisible to the wearer of the glasses. A manual process realized applying an innovative varnish, that give to the lenses a transmittance of 100%.

Vinylize believes in the power to transform. Vinylize serves to remind people to reuse, recycle and conserve. Each creation is a conversation piece. It makes us all think about how we can continue to prosper in our environment.
From the beginning, vinyl gave the collection it's distinctive look. The frames are big, thick and rugged. The grooves are an integral part of the design, our. Victory Collection

The Victory Optical Collection revives a line of classic American eyewear designs that have been in the same family for four generations. In 1941, company founder Vincent J. Salierno debuted his first collection of Victory eyewear; the early designs launched the company's reputation for innovation, quality and a design sense that appealed to individuals such as Buddy Holly, Dean Martin, Connie Francis, Phil Silvers, Jerry Lewis and other figures in politics, entertainment and fashion.

Today, Salierno's grandson William Marfuggi has resurrected Victory's signature look in a line of retro-chic eyewear that is drawing a new clientele of fashion-forward individuals.

Masunaga

Masunaga is another one of our favorite lines at Cateye. They have been a model of optical excellence since 1905.

The company’s mission statement since the establishment is “We manufacture excellent eyeglasses. We want to make a profit if we can, but we don’t hesitate to take a loss. It is always in our thoughts to manufacture excellent eyeglasses.” These words are still the basis of the conduct code of employees even more than 100 years after its establishment.

American Made - Randolph Engineering

We offer some of the worlds finest eyewear here at Cateye, but our favorites are handcrafted right here in THE UNITED STATES of AMERICA. Randolph Engineering has been handcrafting their eyewear from the finest components found world wide and proudly noted as standard military issue since 1972.

If you are an eyewear connoisseur, then Randolph Engineering should ring a familiar bell. With a rich American History, the company is staying at the forefront of eyewear providers.
Whether you’re piloting an F18 fighter jet or driving a car, you need the best lenses available to protect your eyes and enhance your vision.  All of RANDOLPH ENGINEERING'S lenses absorb 98-100% of harmful ultraviolet rays and allow a range of 12-18% of visible light to pass through; the ideal comfort level for most wearers. The mineral glass lenses are exceptionally scratch-resistant, and will provide you with absolute distortion-free clarity. They’re also precision ground and chemically tempered for impact resistance that exceeds ANSI Z-803 standards.

Randolph Engineering products are famed for their quality and durability. Each pair of RE sunglasses goes through more than 200 production stages – mostly by hand. Randolph even makes their own solder flux. As a result, the frames provide unequaled strength and solder joint integrity.

In Randolph's drive for superior quality, they scour the world for the best components and special alloys – with tight molecular structure to eliminate rusting and oxidation. Randolph Engineering does not compromise quality even when selecting something as trivial as a lens screw. The nose pads are made of soft silicone to prevent the frames from slipping, even during heavy perspiration. While fashion may fade in and out of the marketplace, the quality found in Randolph Engineering products will never go out of style.
Randolph Engineering feels so strongly about the quality of their products that they will repair or replace any broken solder joint for the lifetime of the frame (assuming normal use).
Buy American made Randolph Engineering eyewear here at Cateye Spectacle! See you soon.
