It has framed the faces of many of histories most important political figures and has accented the images we know today of many of Hollywood's greatest movie stars. The brand, to date, is the best selling worldwide due to its popularity, length of manufacturing and variety of models, offered to both men and woman.
The company based in Greenville South Carolina is as american as apple pie. The Brand has been described in our trade's circles as recognizably and identifiably a style of Americana. Shuron was then becoming, for the trade, internationally known as a distinct and successful American brand likened to such greats as the Ford motor company. Shuron ltd. was marked in the early 20's as a quality supplier, for the growing wave of optical laboratories across the nation. The brand was famous for its frames as well as the high grade machining tools used in the prescription lens manufacturing process. The passing years leading in to WWII proved to be continually successful and allowed for Shuron to provide mobile optical units for a dispensary program for the military.
The company has sold many millions of frames around the world and is the most successful frame manufacturer known. The ever-popular model Ronsir reached 17,000,000 in sales back in 1971.
The brand milestones include many such success stories for a variety of its models throughout its almost 150 year history.
